Öğe Improved measurement of the strong-phase difference delta(K pi )(D)in quantum-correlated D(D)over-bar decays( )(SPRINGER, 2022) Ablikim, M; Achasov, M. N; Adlarson, P.; Albrecht, Malte; Aliberti, R.; Çetin, Serkant Ali; Kolcu, Onur BuğraThe decay D -> K-pi(+) is studied in a sample of quantum-correlated D (D) over bar pairs, based on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb(-1) collected at the psi(3770) resonance by the BESIII experiment. The asym- metry between CP-odd and CP-even eigenstate decays into K-pi(+) is determined to be A(K pi) = 0.132 +/- 0.011 +/- 0.007, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement is an update of an earlier study exploiting additional tagging modes, including several decay modes involving a K-L(0) meson. The branching fractions of the K-L(0) modes are determined as input to the analysis in a manner that is independent of any strong phase uncertainty. Using the predominantly CP-even tag D -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0) and the ensemble of CP-odd eigenstate tags, the observable A(K pi)(pi pi pi 0) is measured to be 0.130 +/- 0.012 +/- 0.008. The two asymmetries are sensitive to r(D)(K pi) delta(K)(pi)(D), where r(D)(K pi) and S-D(K pi) are the ratio of amplitudes and phase difference, respectively, between the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed and Cabibbofavoured decays. In addition, events containing D -> K-pi(+) tagged by D -> K-S,L(0) pi(+)pi(-) are studied in bins of phase space of the three-body decays. This analysis has sensitivity to both r(D)(K pi) cos delta(K)(pi)(D) and r(D)(K pi) sin delta(K)(pi)(D). A fit to A(K pi), A(K pi)(pi pi pi 0) and the phase-space distribution of the D -> K-S,L(0) pi(+)pi(-) tags yields delta(K)(pi)(D) = (187.6(-9.7-6.4)(+8.9+5.4))degrees , where external con- straints are applied for r(D)(K pi) and other relevant parameters. This is the most precise measurement of delta(K)(pi)(D) in quantumcorrelated D (D) over bar decays.Öğe Measurement of e(+)e(-)-> K+K-pi(0) cross section and observation of a resonant structure(SPRINGER, 2022) Ablikim, M; Achasov, MN; Adlarson, P.; Ahmed, S.; Çetin, Serkant Ali; Kolcu, Onur BuğraBased on e(+)e(-) collision data collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies from 2.000 to 3.080 GeV, a partial-wave analysis is performed for the process e(+)e(-)-> K+K-pi(0). The Born cross section of the process e(+)e(-)-> K+K-pi(0) and its subprocesses e(+)e(-)-> phi pi(0), K*+(892)K- and K2*+(1430)K- are measured. The results for e(+)e(-)-> K+K-pi(0) and phi pi(0) are consistent with the BaBar measurements and with improved precision. By analyzing the cross sections of the subprocesses e(+)e(-)-> K*+(892)K- and K2*+(1430)K-, a structure with mass M-R = (2190 +/- 19 +/- 37) MeV/c(2) and width Gamma(R) = (191 +/- 28 +/- 60) MeV is observed with a combined statistical significance of 7.1 sigma. The measured resonance parameters suggest it can be identified as the phi(2170), thus the results provide valuable input to understand the internal nature of this state.Öğe Measurement of the absolute branching fraction and decay asymmetry of ??n?(American Physical Society, 2022) Ablikim, M; Achasov, M. N.; Adlarson, Patrik; Albrecht, Malte; Amoroso A.; Çetin, Serkant Ali; Kolcu, Onur BuğraThe radiative hyperon decay ??n? is studied using (10087±44)×10^{6} J/? events collected with the BESIII detector operating at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of the decay ??n? is determined to be (0.832±0.038_{stat}±0.054_{syst})×10^{-3}, which is a factor of 2.1 lower and 5.6 standard deviations different than the previous measurement. By analyzing the joint angular distribution of the decay products, the first determination of the decay asymmetry ?_{?} is reported with a value of -0.16±0.10_{stat}±0.05_{syst}.Öğe Observation of an a_{0}-like State with Mass of 1.817 GeV in the Study of D_{s}^{+}?K_{S}^{0}K^{+}?^{0} Decays(American Physical Society, 2022) Ablikim, M; Achasov, M N; Adlarson, P; Albrecht, M; Aliberti, RUsing e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.32 fb^{-1} collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the decay D_{s}^{+}?K_{S}^{0}K^{+}?^{0} and determine the relative branching fractions and phases for intermediate processes. We observe an a_{0}-like state with mass of 1.817 GeV in its decay to K_{S}^{0}K^{+} for the first time. In addition, we measure the ratio {B[D_{s}^{+}?K[over ¯]^{*}(892)^{0}K^{+}]/B[D_{s}^{+}?K[over ¯]^{0}K^{*}(892)^{+}]} to be 2.35_{-0.23stat}^{+0.42}±0.10_{syst}. Finally, we provide a precision measurement of the absolute branching fraction B(D_{s}^{+}?K_{S}^{0}K^{+}?^{0})=(1.46±0.06_{stat}±0.05_{syst})%.
