Öğe Fuzzy rule-based systems: How to construct a FRBS with MATLAB, R, and Python(Elsevier, 2024) Karadayı Usta, SalihaRule-based reasoning is a widely used technique in artificial intelligence to generate decision supports systems to help practitioners to facilitate quick outputs by simply entering the required inputs. Fuzzy inference systems involve uncertainty, inaccurate information, subjectivity, and ambiguity into knowledge domain to depict the interactions and relationships among the variables. Hence, a fuzzy rule-based systems (FRBS) is paramount of importance in modeling the human thinking. However, although there are numerous papers for FRBS, there is a gap in literature providing advantageous MATLAB, R and Python codes, and applications as a single study. Thus, the purpose of this chapter is to review literature in detail to extract how to conduct FRBSs in MATLAB, R, and Python in detail with examples, and to provide a medical travel company's case study as an illustrative example. The case study's findings highlight how the medical travel company classifies its vendors as either new or current, then considers the market reputation or current patient satisfaction levels of the vendor while keeping the patient's preferences in mind to decide on the collaboration level. In such a case, medical travel companies may be cautious about establishing good relationships or trying to minimize their interactions. In addition, presenting MATLAB, R, and Python roadmaps in a single study provides managerial and practical implications. In decision processes, both individuals and authorities evaluate multiple factors, such as cost, quality, and time to derive final decisions. Service delivery requires the ability to sustain the service flow so that stakeholders’ experiences could be achieved successfully. Particularly, due to the COVID-19 pandemics-caused interruptions, sustainable distance education (SDE) has gained a remarkable position. Besides, there are various decision processes in the SDE, such as determining the right stakeholders and identifying the objectives to manage this service network. Hence, in this chapter, the decision process background is underlined in detail, next in the application part, the decision process of a video conferencing software selection for an SDE target in higher education institutions is addressed, and a picture fuzzy MACTOR (Matrix of Alliances and Conflicts: Tactics, Objectives and Recommendations) method is proposed. This is the first time that picture fuzzy sets (PFSs) are incorporated into the MACTOR method (PF-MACTOR) and applied to the decision-making process of video conferencing software selection decision process with the sustainability target of distance education by the stakeholders’ side. The findings of this study demonstrate that “continuation of uninterrupted teaching delivery”, “ability to give and collect course materials/exams”, and “recording the courses in a cloud” are the most prominent among all objectives in SDE. The results of the analysis also highlight that “managerial staff” and “representatives of technology providers” are influential stakeholders, while the “academic staff” is a key player leading other stakeholders. In addition, this study provides a theoretical contribution by proposing a novel approach and presents managerial and practical implications by highlighting the relationship requirements between each stakeholder. © 2024 Elsevier Inc. In the present study, a survey is conducted on the importance of three main factors: (1) human paradigm, (2) reliability, and (3) uncertainty in the APP. To do so, these three factors are investigated and reviewed and the most significant challenges are discussed accordingly. Moreover, the most relevant studies performed recently are reviewed to find the major gaps in the literature. Finally, the survey is concluded through discussing the main challenges, limitations, and recommendations for future research.Öğe Preface(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2021) Molamohamadi, Zohreh; Babaee Tirkolaee, Erfan; Mirzazadeh, A.; Weber, Gerhard Wilhelm[No Abstract Available]
