Retrieved from https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/egitimvetoplum/issue/60280/8782982147-0928https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12713/1483Amaç: Ders seçimi; öğrencilerin mesleki gelişimlerini etkileyen önemli süreçlerden biridir ve bu süreçte karşılaşılan sorunlar öğrencilerin öğrenim süresini uzatabilir, derslerdeki yeterliliklerini etkileyebilir, uygulamalar sırasında ders almayı zorunlu kılabilir, mesleki gelişimi için gerekli olan dersleri daha az almasına veya mesleki gelişimi için gerekli olmayan dersleri almasına neden olabilir. Bu nedenle ders seçim sürecinde karşılaşılan sorunların araştırılması önemlidir. Bu çalışma Dil ve Konuşma Terapisi Bölümü (DKTB) lisans öğrencilerinin ve lisans mezunlarının ders seçim sürecinde karşılaştıkları sorunları incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Yöntem: Çalışma kapsamında 7 üniversiteden DKTB lisans öğrencisi veya lisans mezunu 152 katılımcıya ulaşılmıştır. 25 katılımcının daha önce ders seçim sürecinde bulunmadığı göz önünde bulundurularak, bu katılımcılar çalışma dışında tutulmuş ve kalan 127 katılımcıdan elde edilen veriler bu çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Çalışma verileri; öğrencilere yöneltilen 3’ü çoktan seçmeli, 30’u likert tip ölçek olmak üzere toplam 33 maddeden oluşan anket sonuçlarının analizidir. Anket maddeleri üniversite, yönetmelik, öğrenci işleri ve sistem kaynaklı; bilgilendirme eksikliği ve danışman kaynaklı; kişisel nedenlerden kaynaklı karşılaşılan sorunlar başlıkları altında 3 kategoriye ayrılmış ve betimsel araştırma modeli ile değerlendirilmiştir. Veriler frekans analizi ve çapraz tablo teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular ve Sonuç: Üniversite, yönetmelik, öğrenci işleri ve sistem kaynaklı karşılaşılan sorunlar başlığı altında bulunan maddeler arasında katılımcılar en çok; seçmeli dersler arasında yeteri kadar alternatif olmadığı için ders seçim sürecinde sorun yaşamaktadır(%87,4). Bilgilendirme eksikliği ve danışman kaynaklı sorunlar başlığı altında bulunan maddeler arasında katılımcılar en çok; bilgilendirme eksikliği nedeniyle ders seçim sürecinde sorun yaşamaktadır(%78). Kişisel nedenlerden kaynaklı karşılaşılan sorunlar başlığı altında bulunan maddeler arasında katılımcılar en çok; ders içeriğine yönelik bilgisizliği/düşünceleri/ön yargıları nedeniyle ders seçim sürecinde sorun yaşamaktadır(%78,7). Bu anlamda ulaşılan sonuçların, DKTB lisans öğrencilerinin ders seçim sürecinde yaşadığı sorunlara çözümsel yaklaşım için veri ortaya koyacağı düşünülmektedirPurpose: Course selection is one of the most important processes affecting the professional development of the students and the problems encountered in this process can extend the duration of the students’ education, affect their proficiency in the courses, may require taking courses during their practicum, may take less of the courses required for their professional development or take the courses that are not necessary for their professional development. Therefore, it is important to investigate the problems encountered during the course selection process. This study aims to examine the problems encountered by the undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of Speech and Language Therapy (DSLT) in the course selection process. Method: 152 participants from DSLTs’ undergraduate or undergraduate degree from 7 universities were reached. 25 participants were not involved in the course selection process during enrollment were excluded from the study and the data obtained from the remaining 127 participants. The analysis of the results of the questionnaire consisting of 33 items, 3 of which are multiple-choice and 30-point Likert-type scale. The survey items are based on university, regulations, student affairs and system; lack of information and consultant-induced; The problems encountered due to personal reasons are divided into 3 categories under the headings and evaluated with descriptive research model. Data were analyzed by using frequency analysis and cross table techniques. Results and Conclusion: Among the items under the title of university, regulations, student affairs and problems related to the system, the most common problems encountered were listed as since there is not enough alternatives between elective courses, the course selection is problematic (87.4%). Lack of information for the course description was (78%) among the items under the title of the Lack of Information and Problems Related to the Consultant seemed to affect course selection. Among the items found under the title of the Problems Encountered due to Personal Reasons, the participants were encountered problems mostly, due to ignorance / thought / prejudice towards the course content (78.7%).
