In the maqamah, which is a literary genre of Arabic literature, a narrator tells the story of a hero travelling from city to city as a beggar whose knowledge, eloquence and eloquent oratory arouse admiration in people. The main purpose of the maq?ma is to show literary prowess by skilfully combining verses and hadiths, Arabic proverbs and the subtleties of the Arabic language. This study “Benli, Şeyma (2021).
