dc.description.abstractFor solar systems, numerous maximum power point tracking (MPTT) techniques have been designed to maximize the energy produced. This research includes a study and simulation via the Matlab/Simulink software of the control of a solar DC/DC step-down converter with a battery-type load at its output. So, three MPPT approaches, Perturb and Observe (P&O), Incremental Conductance (INC), and Fuzzy Controller (FC), are described and compared in various weather circumstances. Finally, the solar system studied, based on the fuzzy MPPT technique, proved its operational superiority compared to the other two methods, P&O and INC.
