Ectopic deciduosis in the omentum and peritoneum is usually encountered incidentally during cesarean section and is a rare condition. It is usually not accompanied by any symptoms or complications and does not require treatment. Although the pathophysiology is not fully understood, it is accepted that peritoneal deciduosis develops as a result of progesterone-induced metaplasia of subserosal stromal cells during pregnancy. Pathological evaluation is very important because the lesions can be confused macroscopically with diseases such as peritoneal carcinomatosis or tuberculosis. This hormonal and physiological condition has a very good prognosis and resolves spontaneously after delivery. In this case, we present a clinical phenomenon of mesenteric deciduosis encountered during cesarean section and diagnosed pathologically after surgery.en_US
