dc.description.abstract | Since early 2020, by considering the widespread consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the initial measures taken to ensure the flow of working life has been the closure of workplaces and the implementation of remote work. In fact, remote work, which has not been accepted as a strategic managerial practice although it has been discussed for many years, has thus become the center of attention in working life. This study, in which a theoretical research method was adopted, aims to examine this rapid implementation of remote work as a strategy in response to COVID-19 in terms of work-life balance. In this framework, first, remote work, and work-life balance were explained, respectively. Afterward, remote work implemented in Turkey as a response to COVID-19 was detailed by emphasizing work-life balance. The study concludes that remote work, which has become one of the main strategic managerial practices of organizations during COVID-19, maybe an opportunity to contribute to the establishment of work-life balance within the legal and practical procedures and principles to be developed. | en_US |
